Where it goes first
Money tied to a specific program is welcome, but the hardest thing to fund is the unglamorous middle: a heart medication that costs forty dollars a month for four years, a transport van’s transmission, a foster coordinator’s salary.
Unrestricted and recurring gifts go wherever the gap is on the day they arrive, which is usually one of those three. It is the difference between saying yes to a case on Tuesday and asking a shelter to hold on until next quarter.
If you would like your gift directed to a specific program, we will honor that exactly and report back on it — just tell us when you give.
